Who is behind A Maria Borda
My name is Aline Maria Cantagalo and I have been embroidering since I was 9 years old. From age 16 to 30 I worked with handmade fabric printing, developing hand-painted decoration pieces such as curtains, bed and bath sets.
My story with free embroidery began in 2019 when I took a quick course, and I have embroidered every day since then.
At the end of 2019 I created the Instagram account @amariaborda and started accepting orders from all over Brazil.
Right at the start of this journey I began experimenting with tulle embroidery, and had a lot of trouble finding material online that taught how to embroider this specific fabric, so I learned it on my own through practice. After many trials, I managed to gather my knowledge into this course to help people who are interested in this technique.
